WAVJUNCTION | Identity & Website Design
WAVJunction is a sound effects production site that provides filmmakers and game designers with high quality audio files. A newer company in a niche space, stores are commonly very minimally designed and this was a chance for the logo to stand out in a crowed. I created a badge-like logo with a highway leading to the ‘mountain range’, paying homage to the birthplace of this company (the Bridger Range, Montana) while embracing the nature of the company and it’s audio products with the sound waves.
Vibrant colors energize this logo, conveying the enthusiasm of the sound producers and distinguishes the brand from others in the sound effects field. When choosing the colors, I wanted both warm and cool colors to represent both loud and ambient sounds used in their client’s projects.
Color Styling & Promotional Material
This modern company needed a modern look. I focused on their core product - sound - by creating a consistent image system. Using monochromatic photos with the brand colors helped distinguish the different styles of sound while maintaining a cohesive, professional look.
For the mobile design, I opted to follow a grid system that displays the audio in an easy to view manner, also following the color style guide. The colors and typography mimic that of the desktop site, while being easier to navigate on a smaller scale. Focusing on the sound itself creates an intuitive app for the user to explore.
Other online materials such as banner ads follow this system as well, using their colors and photography to highlight a simple main message. No matter what space the ad lives in, it catches the eye and displays a unique style in the sound community.
